Prankard House & Schafer House

UCL offers it’s students a range of self-catering accommodation, of which Schafer House and Prankard House are included. Logan Construction was awarded the contract for the refurbishment and redecoration of both student houses, to upgrade the existing facilities.
Works at Schafer House include full refurbishment to Block E – ground floor, first, second and third floors, and Block B – ground, mezzanine, first and second floors.
The works will generally comprise of redecoration to students’ bedrooms, common areas such as kitchens, stairs and corridors, replacement of kitchen worktops, installation of USB ports in students’ bedrooms, replacement of emergency lighting and strip lighting, earthing of stainless steel worktops.
Refurbishment works at Prankard House were undertaken on the third floor.
The works are similar to Schafer House and include the re-wiring of the communal kitchen’s electrical system and installation of two cookers and two sinks, with the exclusion of installation of USB ports in student bedrooms.
This is a fast track refurbishment undertaken during the summer break to avoid any student disruption.Download PDF
