We are delighted to announce that following two successful tenders, Logan Construction has been awarded main contractor both Education Funding Authority’s (EFA) Compass School and University College London’s (UCL) James Lighthill House.
The aim of the project is to bring the Compass School’s currently out of date 1960’s building up to building regulations and fit for use, offering an excellent state-of-the-art modern teaching facility.
Works include the remodelling and refurbishment of the three storey Block G and the link access to Block F. We will be converting the current reception office into a dining area and changing the status of Block G to become the main school entrance. There will also be some external works.
Speaking about the recent EFA appointment, William Logan, managing director said: “We are delighted to be working with the EFA on the Compass School refurbishment project and look forward to being able to offer both pupils and teaching staff, a safer and much improved school.”
James Lighthill House

James Lighthill House provides accommodation for 189 students in flats of five, six or seven. Situated adjacent to both residential and business properties, the building will remain fully functional throughout the summer works.
Upon appointment, William Logan, managing director commented: “Our excellent working relationship with UCL has developed over the years, following numerous successfully completed projects. Our appointment as contractor for the James Lighthill House refurbishment, will further enhance this and we look forward to completing yet another successful project for them.”
